Robert Toombs House State Historic Site |
Located on Robert Toombs Avenue, this is the former home of the Confederate statesman who was instrumental in leading Georgia to secession and war. The state has carefully restored the structure to its condition at the time of Toombs' death in 1885. The 1797 house displays furnishings once owned by the Toombs family.
Open Tuesday through Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 2pm-5:30pm; closed holidays.
