Vann House State Historic Site |
Part of a memorial to the Cherokee Nation, the Chief Vann House is the restored 1804 mansion of James Vann, a Cherokee chief who sponsored the influential Moravian Mission next to his plantation. The house has a fabulous view of all the land around it and a stunning view of the Cohutta Mountains. This brick home is one of the oldest remaining structures in northern third of the state of Georgia with its owners being leaders of the Cherokee Nation.
