This restored residence was the mid-19th century home of Dr. Dwight Baldwin, a missionary and Harvard trained physician. Located in Lahaina, Maui the Baldwin home is the oldest building on
Maui Island. Shaded by kikui nut trees, tourists can relax in the shade while staff give tours explaining the significance of the site.
Dr. Baldwin and his wife Charlotte Fowler lived in this house from the mid-1830's until 1871. He was the first medical missionary in the area. The house was restored in the 1960 s by the Lahaina Restoration Society.
The museum is open daily and there is a small admission charge.
