Carthaginian III

This well-known picturesque sailing vessel is berthed in Lahaina Harbor. A replica of a 19th century brig, the Carthaginian is typical of the fast, small freighters that plied Hawaii's waters last century on whaling adventures.

The ship holds its own museum containing exhibits including information on whales and whaling, a film about humpback whales and an original whaleboat from Alaska.

It is open daily 9am to 4:30pm. There is a small admissions charge.
