Honolulu Zoo

This 40 acre zoo has lush green tropical foliage and the animals to live there. A 7.5 acre African savannah (grass land) is especially realistic. Moats separate the two and four legged animals.

"The Wildest Show In Town" is on Wednesday evenings in the summer months, a free program of singing, dancing and mirthful entertainment. It is open daily 9am to 4:30pm; admission is charged.

On weekends, there is a Zoo Fence Art Mart on the Diamond Head side of the zoo fence, where contemporary artists and craftspersons display affordable souvenirs and objets d'art. The fence art show fronts on Monsarrat Ave outside the zoo.

All told, there are over 300 species of animals at the Honolulu Zoo.
