Laupahoehoe Point Park |
There is no safe swimming at this park, but it is spectacularly beautiful with its ironwood (lignum vitae) trees and black rocks. It is the site of a tsunami in 1946 that swept some schoolchildren and teachers away.
There are restrooms, showers, picnic facilities and stone barbeque pits. It is open all day and admission is free.
