Lanai Community Hospital (LCH) is the only hospital on the island of Lanai. It was originally built in 1927. The facility?s new physical plant was built in 1968 with funding from community donations, Dole Company, State of Hawaii grant, and Hill-Burton Federal funds. The hospital offers acute and long-term care.
LCH has 28 employees. In fiscal year 2000, there were 34 admissions, with 2,860 patient days; and 725 Emergency Room visits. Its patient services include: 24-Hour Emergency Care, Limited Laboratory & X-Ray Services, Limited Acute Care, Extended Care (long-term services), Hemodialysis Services on Lanai are now available.
