Located on Hwy 11 coming out of
Hilo on the way to
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The facility is off the Stainback Hwy, which is marked by a Hawaii Visitors Bureau red and white warrior sign marking a tourist attraction.
The trails can be muddy since it is on the wet side of the Hawaii the Big Island. But the animals, such as tigers and monkeys, are a big hit with visitors in a jungle setting. Admission is free and it is open daily from 9 to 4, except Christmas and New Years Day. For info contact the administrative office in Hilo.
