US Seaman's Institute

The Lahaina Restoration Society oversees this house which is now the home of Lahaina Printsellers, a dealer in antique maps and charts. It was built as a royal party house for King Kamehameha III and was later turned over to the US government. It was used by the government as a seamen's hospital. Many of the patients were whalers.

The US Seaman's Institue is open daily for business and admission is free.
