Aberdeen, "The Heart of the Idaho Potato Country," is also noted for the Plant Materials Center, an agricultural research center, and the National Small Grains Germplasm Research Facility.
Aberdeen is located on Hwy 39 in the southwestern corner of Bingham County, 13 miles north of American Falls and 38 miles from Blackfoot and Pocatello.
