Owyhee Elementary School was built in pods with folding doors to create open classrooms and facilitate team teaching. The two pods, one for primary and one for intermediate grades, are oriented around a central work area. Over thirty years later, the open classrooms still exist with the central work area currently used by paraprofessionals and ancillary staff for small group instruction.
