Idaho Botanical Garden |
Idaho Botanical Garden, two and a half miles E on Main St and Warm Springs Rd from downtown Boise, was created for the purpose of botanical display, education and research. The newest garden is the Muriel and Diana Kirk English Garden. It was designed by world renowned landscape architect John Brookes, and offers a feeling of 'a light country garden more relaxed than most American gardens.' The Jane Falk Oppenheimer Heirloom Rose Garden features heirloom and other old-style roses in a traditional perennial setting. There are 11 other theme and display gardens.
Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. Weekends 10am to 6pm except November through April, weekends are noon to 4pm. Closed some holidays. General admission - Adults $4.00, Seniors $3.00, Children 6-12 $2.00
