Longfellow Elementary School was built in 1957. They have 473 students in kindergarten through sixth grade along with two multi-age nontraditional classrooms and a special resource room. Longfellow has conscientious teachers with high standards of teaching. Teachers use a whole language approach to instruct students in the curricular area of language arts. Besides the basic curriculum, students have the opportunity to participate in the Conflict Manager's program. This program teaches students to resolve their own conflicts in a positive and productive manner.
