Pedal and Paddle the Payette

Responding to the public's desire for the maximum of fun and diversity in a recreation trip, Cascade Recreation offers four-day "combo" mountain bike and rafting trips.

Guests mountain-bike high above the Payette River through shady pine and fir forests for two days in the 2.3-million-acre Boise National Forest. A sag wagon trails the group at all times in case guests need a rest. Dutch-oven meals, hot springs and laid-back camping are all standard fare.

Guests next trade pedals for paddles and raft two Class 4 sections on the South Fork of the Payette. Highlights include more hot springs, non-stop whitewater action, and portage of a 25-foot waterfall.
