Clinton Hill is a public 18-hole course, par 71 course located in southwestern Illinois in St. Clair County about 20 minutes from downtown St Louis. Men's tees measure 6,550 yards and rated at 70.5 with a 121 slope or 6,050 yards and rated at 68.9 and a 116 slope. Ladies face a 5,575-yard course rated at 68.4 with a 119 slope.The course was constucted to conform to the natural lay of the land moving as little dirt as possible. It is a nice blend of holes where the long hitter can shine on some and the shot-maker will conquer the tighter holes. Of the par 3s, the 12th is 245 yards to the middle of a 150-foot-deep green. The 9th, a par 5, is a 645-yard monster that requires some work with driver/wood to have a reasonable chance for par. Amenities include a 2-tier driving range and a 14,000 sq. ft. putting green. A bar & grill are handy to quench that after-round thirst or satisfy the hardiest appetite.
