Harvey is located in northeastern Illinois in
Cook County on the southern
Chicago city limits between
Blue Island and
Chicago Heights along Highway 1 about 5 miles south of the Little Calumet River.
For trivia buffs, the Dixie Square Mall (now abandoned) was used in the movie "The Blues Brothers" as police cars crashed through display windows.
