Lake Bloomington is located in central Illinois in
McLean County about 10 miles north-northeast of the city of
Bloomingtonbetween
Interstate 39 and
Interstate 55.
The 575-acre lake was created in 1929 and is fed by Money Ceek and Hickory Creek.
The lake produces viable populations of Bluegill, Crappie and Yellow Bass, among others, and is favorite of ice fishermen.
