Long Grove Illinois

Long Grove is located in northeastern Illinois in southern Lake County just northwest of Chicago between Arlington Heights and Libertyville along SRs 53 and 83 just west of Buffalo Grove. The population estimate for 2000 was about 7,000.

For golfers, the town boasts one of the finest public courses in Illinois--Kemper Lakes Golf Club. The course has achieved the distinction of "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary"--one of only 17 in the state and 217 worldwide. It is one of only 3 public courses in the U.S. to host a major PGA tounament--the 1989 PGA Championship.
