Located in central Illinois in
Tazewell County about 20 miles southeast of
Peoria 5 miles northeast of
Mackinaw, the site offers a diversity of landscape covering 1,400 acres over timbered hills, open meadows, and river bottoms. Canoe access enables visitors to float the scenic Mackinaw River. Other activities include fishing, hunting, hiking, and picnicking.
