Pana

Pana is located in south central Illinois in southeastern Christian County about 30 miles south-southwest of Decatur and 40 miles southeast of Springfield at the intersection of U.S. Highway 51 and SRs 16 and 29.

Nearby recreation includes trips to Ramsey Lake State Park located 15 miles south of town. In addition, Lake Shelbyville, Eagle Creek State Park and Wolf Creek State Park are all within about 20 miles to the north-northeast.

The population estimate for 2000 was about 5,600.
