Once owned by Judge Lawrence Weldon, who was a friend of
Abraham Lincoln, Weldon Springs State Park is south of
Clinton and offers diverse year-round recreational activities, including winter-time sledding and fishing. The park features natural springs and two one-room schoolhouses. There is a fireworks display every July 4th.
