Barker Mansion

Located on Washington Street, this is the former estate of John H. Barker, the founder of the Haskell & Barker Railroad Car Company. The 38 room mansion built in 1857 and modeled after English Victorian manors, features hand carved marble fireplaces; mahogany, walnut and teak woodwork; baroque ceilings; a third story ballroom; and a sunken garden. The house contains many original furnishings and works of art.
