Don Eusey and Mark Barrett are co-owners of Prudential Emporia Realtors. They discovered their compatibility in 1990 when Don hired Mark as a property manager for his company Action Management & Realty, Inc. Prudential Emporia Realtors was conceived as an outgrowth of Action late in 1994 to handle all the real estate sales activity. Although the name is lengthy, it was purposely designed to emphasize the equally important roles each person in the company plays. The young firm has grown rapidly, moving three times to keep up with the growth before landing in their permanent location. In 1998 the company purchased the former Lyon County State Bank building located in downtown Emporia at 7th and Commercial. This building has plenty of room to handle future growth with nearly 8,000 square feet of office space.
