Clinton Lake

Located in Douglas County, in the East Region, and southwest of the community of Lawrence. The dam construction began in 1971 by the The U.S.A.C.E. and filling began in 1977. To be filled by 1980. Clinton Lakes 7 parks, located on 15,000 acres surrounding 7,000 acres of surface water provide plenty of space for outdoor recreation activities. Camping, sightseeing, fishing, boating, hiking, bicycling, picnicking and hunting are just a few of the favorite activities.

Recreation facilities include boat ramps, courtesy docks, campgrounds, swimming beaches, picnic areas, playgrounds, hiking trails and the golf course. One marina concession, located in the State Park, provides a full line of marina services.
