This site commemorates the man who led the first expedition through the Cumberland Gap in 1750, preceding Daniel Boone into what is now Kentucky by 17 years. The 8' by 12' house built by the men of his party is open year-round and can be toured, as are the surrounding grounds.
Seasonal facilities include a playground, miniature golf course, shelter houses, lighted basketball courts, and a gift shop. Picnicking is permitted.
