Louisiana Wildife & Fisheries Museum

This museum exhibits more than 700 preserved specimens of native Louisiana wildlife. The displays include fish, reptiles, mammals, birds and butterflies. A 15,000-gallon freshwater aquarium holds a variety of aquatic life from local waters. The natural history depicted in the museum is complemented by the cultural history relived outdoors as American Indians in 1750-1815 attire prepare and demonstrate native crafts, rituals, traditions and food.
