Magnolia Mound Plantations |
The Magnolia Mound Plantations was once a 950-acre cotton plantation. The French-Creole home, built around 1791, is furnished with Federal-style pieces from the 1800s. The house is currently surrounded by 16 acres of majestic oak trees, some more than 200 years old. The working plantation grows much of the food that is prepared during the weekly open-hearth cooking presentations.
