The National D-Day Museum has been designated by the Congress as America's National World War II Museum. It interprets the American experience during World War II, celebrates the American spirit, and records the sacrifice of those who won the war. The 70,500-square-foot museum presents a collection of personal stories, materials for research and scholarship, letters, recruitment posters, weapons, models, and films. The 16,000-square-foot gallery is divided into four interactive exhibits that mix oral histories from veterans worldwide, artifacts, documents, and photographs with hands-on activities.
