The Prayer Garden is an Italian reproduction of Michel de Angelo's Pieta found in St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. It is an original art piece sculpted in Italy (Poramo). It was commissioned in 1996. The Pieta is made from Italian marble resting on a 4 foot granite base. It is a one of a kind piece of art. The Pieta Prayer Garden is enclosed by a wrought iron and brick fence and has brick walkways. The Garden is lamdscaped and lighted at night. It is opened 24 hours a day and is located on the north side of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
