Jackson Barracks Military Museum |
The Jackson Barracks Military Museum features aircraft, weaponry, historic battalion flags, parade uniforms, honors and decorations dating to the American Revolution. It has a theatre capable of seating 183 visitors, which presents films, award ceremonies, concerts, and historic society meetings, as well as other official functions. The museum's library maintains more than 1,000 books, files and such periodicals as the Louisiana History quarterly, New Orleans Genesis, National Genealogical Register, Le Recontur, Louisiana Genealogical Register, the Attakapas Gazette and Terrebonne Lifelines.
