The Town of Cohasset is in Norfolk County ten miles east of Quincy between Hingham and Scituate along Highway 3A near Wompatuck State Park. Captain John Smith is said to have landed in Cohasset in 1614. For nearly two centuries the town was a fishing and farming community.
