DAR State Park

The forest was established in 1929 when the Daughters of the American Revolution donated 1,020 acres to the Commonwealth.

Lakes and wetlands make the forest an ideal home for deer, fox, rabbits, beaver, mink, and other wildlife. During the summer this park offers a popular beach for swimming on Upper Highland Lake, and a shady picnic area. The campground offers 50 campsites and a private beach.
