Placed on the green in 1900 and located at the head of Battle Green on Massachusetts Ave., this statue represents Capt. John Parker as he appeared on the morning of April 19, 1775, commanding the Minutemen gathered on the green. It faces the line of British approach.

The Visitor's Center offers information, and a diorama of the battle of Lexington.
