Calvert Cliffs State Park |
This day use park gets its name from the mighty cliffs looming over the Chesapeake Bay. The cliffs contain fossils from the Miocene period, 15 million years ago. A hiking trail leads to the beach. About a 45 minute hike from parking area to cliffs.
In CalvertCounty, 14 miles south of Prince Frederick on MD Routes 2/4.
