Founded in 1925, this is a public institution within the University of Maryland System. SSU offers undergraduate programs in the arts and sciences, business, education, health science, nursing, technology, and professional training. There are 4 undergraduate and 1 graduate school. The 140 acre campus is in a small town 110 miles southeast of
Baltimore and 100 miles east of Washington DC. Including residence halls there are 35 buildings.
Fraternities, sororities and over 100 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus is available through the admissions office.
