Founded in 1886, this is a public university and is part of the University of Maryland system, offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the arts and sciences, professional studies, and agricultural sciences. There are 3 undergraduate and graduate school. The 700 acre campus is in a rural area 15 miles south of Salisbury. Including residence halls there are 40 buildings.
Fraternities, sororities and over 25 groups are on campus. Campus tours are available through the admissions office.
