The Museum, founded by Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Singer, Jr. and incorporated in 1929, has a long and impressive tradition of cultural leadership in the
Cumberland Valley region. The Museum of Fine Arts provides residents and visitors with access to an outstanding permanent collection of 6,000 objects ranging from Old Masters to 20th-century paintings, sculpture and decorative arts; selections from the museum's large holdings are always on view, and rotate through the galleries.
Also on display are temporary exhibitions and works by local and national artists, as well as musical concerts, lectures, films, art classes and special events for children and adults which are scheduled throughout the year. Open Tuesday-Sunday; closed Mondays and major holidays.
