Bridgton Historical Society Museum |
The Bridgton Historical Society preserves the local history, traditions, and customs of Bridgton, Maine and the surrounding area. The society's museum and research center are located in downtown South Bridgton, in the Peabody-Fitch house styled 'Narramissic,-' a restored 19th-century farm complete with a working blacksmith shop, providing the perfect setting for Historic Society-sponsored living history programs.
Permanent exhibits and displays include local historic relics and documents, Sac o River Railroad artifacts and memorabilia, and a 1911-model Sears automobile. Open Monday-Thursday, and Saturday afternoons.
