Rose Eden Cottages is a small cottage complex conveniently located to all attractions on Mount Desert island, yet away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor. They are 4 miles from the entrance to Acadia National Park and 10 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and the Canadian Ferry to Nova Scotia. Hadley Point Beach, a public saltwater beach with a picnic area, is a mile away. Of the many motels and cottages on Route 3, this is one of the best. The neat little white cottages sport bright red doors and shutters and window boxes filled with geraniums. The oldest cottages are about thirty years old, but have been recently upgraded and all are pleasantly decorated with colorful spreads, white-ruffle curtains, and either bright wallpaper or white walls with stenciling. The newer cottages, set farther back from the highway, are larger and have knotty-pine walls and floors and wicker furniture.
