Visitors to this historic site can learn the story of the 1861 'Battle of the Hemp Bales,' a major Civil War battle in Missouri, and tour the Anderson-Davis house, used by both sides as a field hospital during the battle. Guided tours of the house are available. A visitor center displays relevant exhibits and a 1-mile interpretive, self-guided trail of the 106-acre battlefield are also available.
