In Barry County, Cassville is located southwest of Springfield off Highway 37 between Monett and the Arkansas state line near Table Rock Lake and the Mark Twain National Forest. Cassville is the county seat of Barry County. It was named after Lewis Cass, a governor of the Michigan Territory.The Roaring River State Park is nearby.
