The Onyx Mountain Caverns features a one acre entrance room used for shelter by Historic Indian Tribes thousands of years ago. Many artifacts are on display from this era that were found deep in the ashes of ancient campfires. The cavers also feature an underground river with an end has yet to be found. Beautiful Onyx formations 35 feet high are also seen in the caverns along with flowstone draperies, stalagmites and stalactites. Columns & soda straws are seen throughout the tour. The electrically lighted cave has paved walkways and maintains a constant temperature of 55 degree Fahrenheit.
