Comments: If you are ever in Greenwood, you have to visit The Mississippi Gift Company. They have food and gift items made in Mississippi, including local artwork, pottery, candles and gourmet foods. They ship anywhere, so you can choose your Mississippi souvenir and not worry about carrying it with you. I had the cheese straws and the pecan pie, it was outstanding. They have a mail order catalog and a website that I have ordered from since my visit, www.TheMississippiGiftCompany.com. If you are looking for an authentic Mississippi experience, this is the place.

Comments: There seem to be stormy weather in the afternoon. Prices of homes sure have gone up since a few years ago. This spot has lots of considerate folks pumping gas. Sometimes traffic is congested. A group of friends stopped in here recently. For some fine exhibits, spend a little time at Cottonlandia Museum. This is a great place.
