Adventure Cycling's mission is to encourage individuals to use the bicycle for recreation, personal discovery, and adventure. The organization provides guidance in selecting equipment, and specializes in producing maps and resource guides to locations across the United States and Canada.
Montana tours include portions of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route -- an off-pavement route which parallels The Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico -- and Cycle Montana, which in 1998 will take cyclist on a 7-day loop through south-central Montana, beginning and ending in Bozeman.
Adventure Cycling's HQ is on the corner of Pine and Pattee streets in Missoula, in a renovated building that was originally a church.
