Copper King Mansion Butte, Montana (Historic Houses) image

The three-story, 34-room mansion of copper king and politician William A Clark has been preserved as it was in the 1880's. Named a Montana Historic Site in 1972. This is the only privately owned mansion in the state accessible to the public. The mansion is furnished with lavish antiques and can be seen by tours that run from May 1 to September 30 from 9a.m. to 4p.m., otherwise by appointment. Bed and Breakfast open all year long. A fee is charged.
