A nationally recognized collection of Native American artifacts, historical and educational displays are housed in this museum. The collection is not limited to Native Americans of the Outer Banks but includes rare Apache research archives. The Natural History Center includes educational displays, special films, live exhibits, and self-guided nature trails winding though beautiful maritime forest on the premises. There is also a fascinating shop with native crafts and antique collectibles. Special seminars and workshops are available for schools, scouts, senior citizens and the visually impaired.
