Kannapolis is located in Cabarrus County between Charlotte and Salisbury along Interstate 85 near Concord, Huntersville, and Mooresville. The late Dale Earnhardt was born in Kannapolis and you can visit the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Center in the Cannon Village Visitor Center on West Avenue.
