Kerr Lake State Recreation Area

Kerr Lake has 50,000 surface acres and provides opportunities for sailing, fishing and water skiing. Two commercial marinas are open year round and offer mooring, slips, service and supplies.

Kerr Lake offers hundreds of wooded tent and trailer campsites, many of them on the water's edge. Both electric hookup and non-electrical sites are offered. More than 300 picnic tables and 11 shelters with access to the lakeshore and boat ramps. Shelters vary in size and seat up to 50 people. The shelters have running water and are free of charge.
