Maggie Valley is located in Haywood County west of Asheville between Cherokee and Canton along US Highway 19 near Waynesville, Lake Junaluska, Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahala National Forest, the Cataloochee Ski Area, and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 202, an increase of 17 since 1990.
