Pembroke

Pembroke is located in Robeson County southwest of Fayetteville between Laurinburg and Lumberton along Highway 711 on the banks of the Lumber River near Maxton. Home of the University of North Carolina/Pembroke campus.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,343, an increase of 139 since 1990.
